The French link in this bit means pressure is applied to both sides of the tongue. Some horses with low palates may find this bit more comfortable as the mouthpiece should not contact the palate when the bit is in action. The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion. Mouthpiece thickness: 14mm. Cheek height: 55mm (4.5"), 75mm (5", 5.5", 6"). Stainless steel is the most common material for bits. Durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust.
