Nylon tie straps are a great choice for easy cinching and eliminating bulk under the leg. Nylon doesn't stretch, making it a good pair for girths made of organic materials (like leather or mohair). It's important to cinch the saddle the same on both sides
The 6-inch cheek has a 2-1/2-inch purchase and a 3-1/2-inch shank. This ratio (the difference in the length of the purchase and shank) and the swept-back design of the shank make this a mild cheek.
The 7-1/2-inch cheek style is next in the lineup. Extremely versatile, this bit can be used for training drills, pleasure riding, or competition. This cheek has a 2-1/2-inch purchase with a 5-inch shank.

The port, although narrow and somewhat low, allows room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control.
